GOD'S WISDOM
James Chapter 3 tells us 8 qualities of someone who lives his/her life following God's Wisdom.
We've been digging deeper and learning more about each of these godly wisdom traits this past week. You can find the link to those Bible podcasts below👇🏼.
Today, we recap what we've learned. And end our study of James chapter 3 by exploring James 3:18 (which still has scholars scratching their heads) 🤷♀️

Hey, welcome to the Simple Truth. I’m Julie Carruth.
Today, we are ending our study of James Chapter 3. We’ve been exploring the differences between Godly wisdom and Earthly wisdom.
So, to recap, James says you’ll know a wise person by these 8 fruits in their life:
Which brings us to James 3:18 which says, “Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.”
What’s this mean? I’m not exactly certain. Lol.
I have researched as much as time would permit, and the conclusion I’ve made is that no one else knows for sure either.
So, for what it’s worth, here’s what I think it means when I put this verse into context:
As you allow these 8 godly qualities to flow through your life, you’re like a farmer planting seeds of peace wherever you go. And as you do, the harvest that you reap is a community of believers who live together in harmony and peace instead of a community of believers who live in selfish ambition and evil bitterness.
So, your simple truth for today: As a wise man, you inhabit these 8 qualities that naturally flow through you and out to others. Everywhere you go you are planting seeds of peace. And that makes you, my friend, a Peacemaker. And Jesus said in Matthew 5:9, blessed are the peacemakers for they will be called children of God.
